In attesa di conoscere dettagli della proposta di cessate il fuoco in Ucraina elaborata dal generale Kellog, nominato ad hoc da Trump, il vicepresidente statunitense Vance ha fatto un intervento dirompente di attacco all’Unione Europea durante la conferenza sulla sicurezza che si è svolta venerdì 14 febbraio 2025 a Monaco in Germania.

Lunedì 17 febbraio 2025 il presidente francese Macron ha promosso a Parigi un vertice informale con i leader delle principali potenze europee, i vertici dell’UE e il segretario generale della NATO, per capire come agire per far valere il ruolo geostrategico dei Paesi europei.

Martedì 18 febbraio 2025 si incontrano a Riad direttamente il segretario di Stato Usa Marco Rubio, il ministro degli Esteri russo Serghei Lavrov e il ministro saudita, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

Uno scenario che appare incerto e dagli esiti imprevedibili per la popolazione martoriata ucraina.
