Un pasto di solidarietà

Nello Yemen affamato da anni di guerra i locali enti caritatevoli distribuiscono pasti nella capitale in occasione della rottura serale del digiuno di Ramadan

Lo Yemen, si sa, è uno dei Paesi al mondo in cui la situazione umanitaria è più critica dopo nove anni di guerra: secondo le Nazioni Unite, la metà dei bambini è malnutrita, e quasi 20 milioni di persone necessitano di aiuti salvavita. Pur in un contesto così difficile, però, c’è ancora spazio per la solidarietà; in particolare nel mese di Ramadan, mese sacro per l’Islam. Nella capitale Sana’a una cucina sociale distribuisce infatti circa 2000 pasti al giorno a chi è nel bisogno, consegnandoli nelle case la sera per la rottura quotidiana del digiuno. Pasti semplici – riso, verdure, pane – ma fondamentali per la sopravvivenza di queste persone.

In questo venerdì santo, immagini come queste suonano come un invito per i cristiani a fare memoria e pregare per i tanti “crocifissi” del mondo, in particolare le popolazioni colpite dalle guerre.
