1.300 trattori assediano il Parlamento europeo

Continua la tensione tra agricoltori e governi degli Stati dell’Ue sulle condizioni economiche del settore primario. I manifestanti sono arrivati a Bruxelles.

«È la battaglia finale per l’agricoltura. È una questione di sopravvivenza». Questa la motivazione che spinge gli agricoltori di tutta Europa a manifestare nella capitale Ue, davanti al Consiglio dove i leader politici discutono sugli aiuti finanziari da dare all’Ucraina.

I lavoratori agricoli provenienti da Francia, Germania, Spagna, Portogallo, Belgio, Italia, Romania e Polonia si sono uniti nelle proteste contro la Politica agricola comune (Pac), lamentando i redditi bassi, i lunghi orari di lavoro, la concorrenza talvolta sleale, l’inflazione, l’alto costo dell’energia e le nuove norme europee sull’ambiente.

Dopo diversi giorni di mobilitazione, la pressione sui governi Ue continua ad aumentare: i trattori bloccano le autostrade, rendendo difficile la mobilità e l’accesso alle città. Oggi sono 1.300 i trattori che si sono radunati nei pressi del Parlamento europeo a Bruxelles, dove si tiene il vertice. Tra gli slogan degli agricoltori si legge: «La nostra fine sarà la vostra fame».
