In un Paese in forte crisi è stata celebrata con grande solennità la festa dell’Āshūrāʾ

A quasi 20 anni dalla guerra del 2003 l’Iraq non trova pace come confermano le notizie del permanere dell’instabilità politica che porterà allo scioglimento del Parlamento e a nuove elezioni legislative mentre cresce la crisi sociale e non è debellata la presenza dei miliziani jihadisti.

Dallo stesso Paese, grazie al servizio fotografico di Ap, arrivano le straordinarie immagini relative alla festa islamica dell’Āshūrāʾ che ha il suo centro nella città scita di Karbalāʾ, collocata a 100 chilometri di Bagdad. Un invito a meditare sulla complessità della storia e tradizioni delle diverse culture che meritano attenzione e non una sbrigativa semplificazione.
