Alle 13.21 ora locale una violenta scossa di 5,6 gradi Richter con epicentro vicino alla città di Cianjur, a quasi 100 km da Giacarta, ha provocato la morte di oltre 46 persone e almeno 700 feriti. Sono stati segnalati danni a decine di edifici, tra cui ospedali, e diverse frame. Nonostante in Indonesia siano frequenti terremoti, eruzioni vulcaniche e tsunami è raro che vengano avvertiti a Giacarta. Le autorità hanno escluso il rischio tsunami ma si stanno ancora raccogliendo informazioni su vittime e danni. (foto AP)
