Secondo Microsoft l’attuale boom dei video-giochi continuerà anche dopo la fine della pandemia. Ecco perché il colosso del software ha annunciato l’intenzione di acquistare Activision Blizzard, il gigante dei videogame che produce titoli come Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft, Candy Crush.

L’operazione vale ben settanta miliardi di dollari, ma sono soldi ben spesi: la multinazionale dell’informatica fondata da Bill Gates, ritiene infatti che i video game siano il futuro digitale, per cui miliardi di persone ci giocheranno (con telefono, console, computer, realtà virtuale) spendendo cifre molto maggiori di questa.

D’altra parte, sembra che i super miliardari come Gates non sappiano come spendere la montagna di dollari in contanti (130 miliardi) che hanno incassati negli ultimi mesi grazie al fatto che il Covid ha costretto le persone a passare il loro tempo in casa davanti a un computer.

Nel frattempo, l’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità ha dichiarato che giocare compulsivamente ai videogiochi è un problema di salute mentale. (AP Photo)
