Gli attacchi dei talebani sulle città afgane continuano e sono già nove i capoluoghi conquistati dal gruppo armato durante gli ultimi sette giorni: Farah, Pul-e Khumri, Zaranj, Sheberghan, Taloqan, Sar-e-Pul, Aibak e Kunduz, un’importante città del nord. L’ultima è stata Faizabad, a nord-est, nella notte di mercoledì.

I talebani avanzano con l’intenzione di farsi con il potere di Kabul, la capitale del Paese, mentre i civili, vittime innocenti della violenza, fuggono verso città più sicure. Dagli Stati Uniti, dopo il ritiro delle truppe statunitensi, prevedono che la caduta del capoluogo avverrà entro 90 giorni.  (AP Photo)
