Un bilancio disastroso quello che in queste ultime ore giunge dal Myanmar. Almeno 12 mila le persone fuggite dalle loro case a causa di raid aerei dell’esercito contro alcune sue basi, che hanno causato “numerose vittime” e “la distruzione di scuole e di villaggi”, e oltre 550 morti secondo quanto denuncia l’Associazione per l’assistenza ai prigionieri politici. Dall’inizio delle proteste contro il colpo di Stato del 1° febbraio scorso per rovesciare il governo di Aung San Suu Kyi, le forze di sicurezza hanno arrestato oltre 2700 persone. (foto Ap)
