Riunione dei ministri a Calais sulla questione migratoria

Aumenta la tensione tra Inghilterra e Francia. Domenica 28 novembre, diversi ministri per gli Affari interni europei si sono riuniti nella città portuale francese per cercare una soluzione alle morti che avvengono nel Canale della Manica.

Mercoledì 24 novembre è avvenuto il più mortale naufragio nelle acque franco-britanniche: 27 persone sono morte dopo aver tentato di attraversare il mare in un gommone.

Il controllo delle frontiere e la gestione dei flussi migratori tra la Gran Bretagna e la Francia, insieme al conflitto già esistente tra le due nazioni sulle licenze di pesca, hanno portato a una crisi diplomatica tra Londra e Parigi.

Mentre il primo ministro britannico Boris Johnson ha suggerito un accordo bilaterale che vedrebbe la Francia occuparsi della riammissione dei migranti, il presidente Emmanuel Macron ha percepito la proposta ricevuta via Twitter come poco seria ed ha escluso il ministro dell’interno britannico Priti Patel dalla riunione di Calais, alla quale hanno partecipato i ministri di Germania, Belgio e Paesi Bassi.

A conclusione dell’incontro, i Paesi europei convocati hanno deciso di perseguire le mafie organizzate e i trafficanti di persone nell Manica con un aereo di Frontex che monitorerà la zona a partire dal 1° dicembre.

Nel frattempo, i migranti aspettano nella città francese, in accampamenti improvvisati in condizioni precarie, per salire sull’imbarcazione che permetta loro di completare il viaggio, il raggiungimento di un sogno che dista circa 45 km. Foto: Ap/Rafael Yaghobzadeh
