Non si fermano le manifestazioni di reazione alla brutalità degli agenti, in special modo contro le persone di colore. L’ultimo episodio riguarda il giovane Jacob Blake, rimasto paralizzato in seguito ai 7 colpi di pistola alla schiena che l’agente di polizia Rusten Sheskey gli ha sparato. Durante il suo discorso di accettazione alla Convention repubblicana, il presidente Trump non ha nominato il caso Blake, ma ha messo in guardia dalle “folle inferocite”, schierandosi dalla parte della polizia.
