Il mondo si trova di fronte al numero più alto di contagi per coronavirus sin dall’inizio della pandemia: oltre 40 milioni di casi in totale. Preoccupa la situazione in Europa, dove sono stati superati i 250 mila morti, secondo il bilancio dell’Afp. Per rallentare l’effetto della pandemia, il premier italiano, Giuseppe Conte, si oppone ad avviare un nuovo lockdown, ma avverte: “Il governo c’è ma ciascuno deve fare la sua parte”. Così, da oggi 19 ottobre entrerano in vigore le norme dell’ultimo Dpcm, che incentiva, tra altre misure, il ricorso allo smartworking.

Tra i paesi più colpiti dalla pandemia, gli Stati Uniti con 8.154.935 contagi, l’India con 7.550.273 e il Brasile 5.235.344. In contrasto, la situazione in Cina continua a migliorare, come dimostrano le cifre economiche: dopo la pandemia, il Pil registra una crescita del 4,9% nel terzo trimestre.
