I leader del G20 si sono riuniti a Osaka il 28 e 29 giugno: il Giappone esercita infatti per la prima volta la presidenza del G20. Un momento importante per l’Italia che cerca di evitare l’azione disciplinare per eccessivo debito. Il premier Conte ha trattato nei vari bilaterali durante il pre-summit per scongiurare la procedura, su cui si esprimerà definitivamente la Commissione Ue il 2 luglio dopo che il 1 luglio il Consiglio dei ministri avrà approvato il ddl di assestamento di bilancio. Anche se l’ultima parola spetterà poi all’Ecofin del 9 luglio.
