Citata ogni anno per la ricorrenza del Natale, Betlemme è un luogo emblematico dove attendere il nuovo anno e l’attesa di pace che accompagna il passaggio del 31 dicembre. Attualmente sotto la giurisdizione dell’Autorità nazionale palestinese, la “città di David” dove è nato Gesù  è al centro di un’area attraversata da tante contraddizioni decisive per il mondo intero.
