Le autorità del New South Wales e del Queensland denunciano un’emergenza senza precedenti con più di 90 incendi alimentati da forti raffiche di vento e molti in zone di siccità. Alcune case sono state distrutte e non si conosce il numero di persone intrappolate. Invece si sa che centinaia di koala sono morti per mancanza di acqua e vegetazione. Allo spegnimento degli incendi stanno lavorando più di mille vigili del fuoco e si stanno utilizzando circa 70 aerei. (foto Ansa)
