La bellissima isola collocata al centro del Mediterraneo soffre per la presenza di attività collegabili al riciclaggio del denaro sporco. Dopo le celebrazioni, foto Ansa, in ricordo dell’assassinio della giornalista investigativa Daphne Caruana Galizia ( fatta esplodere con la sua auto il 16 ottobre 2017), arrivano notizie di arresti, a Malta, di personaggi chiave per ricostruire il legame con i mandanti dell’omicidio che ha fatto emergere il problema a livello internazionale.

Come ha detto David Sassoli, presidente del Parlamento europeo a due anni dall’omicidio, «Non è mai accettabile morire perché stai facendo il tuo lavoro.  Rendiamo omaggio a lei e a tutti coloro che hanno perso la vita in cerca della verità».
