Nelle foto Ap le manifestazioni avvenute nella capitale messicana in memoria del massacro di Tlatelolco avvenuto il 2 ottobre 1968.

La repressione violenta del movimento studentesco (300 morti) e delle sue istanze di libertà e democrazia, avvenne nello stesso luogo dove nel 1521 si consumò l’ultimo atto di repressione della civiltà azteca.

Le inchieste sui fatti del 1968, a ridosso della celebrazione dei giochi olimpici di Città del Messico, hanno accertato il coinvolgimento degli Usa nell’azione che, come confermato, si rivolse contro migliaia di studenti disarmati.
