Two contributions, by M. Mantovani and M. Marianelli respectively, compose the Forum section. The first looks at the Aristotelian tradition and the second considers various interpretative models of the relationship between history and thought. They were both presented on 20 January 2012 at first session of what will be an annual “Seminar on Philosophy” at Sophia. The Seminar seeks to study key theoretical issues for the historical development of philosophical reflection, with a view to making explicit the intellectual contents of Sophia’s study programme in a way that is organic, precise and in accordance with what Sophia offers.
